Test: DANTES (DSST)

Testing

Time is everyone's most valuable -- and scarcest -- commodity. By reducing the number of courses needed to complete a college degree, the DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST) can make it easier for students of all ages to complete their degrees more quickly. Prior to registering for a DSST exam, we recommend that you meet with an academic advisor/counselor at your college to determine if DSST tests might be an appropriate option for you. The college can also provide information on the scores required for granting credit, the number of credit hours granted, and the courses that can be bypassed with satisfactory scores. While the tests are very difficult, it might be beneficial for you to take DSST exams in areas where you have gained expertise through your previous studies or work experience.
