Aquatic Adventures: Exploring Rivers!

Dates:
Physical science focused on Tuesday, July 8, 2008
Anticipated topics include: sediment transport, the hydrologic cycle, river discharge and flow rates, and river slopes and shapes.
Biology focused on Wednesday, July 9, 2008
Anticipated topics include: light and nutrients, plankton collection and ID, fish collection and morphology, and seasonal stratification in estuaries.
Time:
8am-3pm each day with a one hour lunch break (lunch will be provided)
Teachers will:
- increase their knowledge of the local river system
- leave with classroom materials and resources
- interact with other local high school science teachers
