About Us
Mattie M. Kelly
Founded in 1997, the Mattie M. Kelly Cultural & Environmental Institute at OWC is a partnership of OWC, the OWC Foundation, Inc., and the Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance of OWC, dedicated to the cultural, environmental, historical and instructional goals set forth for the institute by the late Mattie M. Kelly of Destin, FL.
Objectives
- To provide a meeting place for fine arts groups and performing groups
- To provide a location for conference and seminars offered through Northwest Florida State College
- To provide a location for biology studies and marine science studies associated with Choctawhatchee Bay and the Gulf of Mexico
- To provide a location for displaying the cultural heritage of Northwest Florida
- To provide instruction in the Fine and Performing Arts and Environmental Sciences
