FAQ: What Courses are Available?
Dual Enrollment
Dual enrollment students enroll in regular college classes at OWC locations in Niceville, Fort Walton Beach, Crestview, DeFuniak Springs, Eglin AFB or Hurlburt Field (access to base centers may be restricted) or may enroll in courses available on-site at high school campuses.
The Florida Department of Education has an approved list of college courses that may be completed through dual enrollment and that shall be accepted by all high schools in Florida toward meeting the high school graduation requirements.
Students who meet the eligibility requirements for dual enrollment must be allowed to enroll in the courses on this list if offered for dual enrollment by the local college (OWC).
New state guidelines designate certain one-semester-length college courses completed through dual enrollment to equate to one full year of high school credit (the high school student shall receive one year of high school credit for completing the one-semester college courses listed below that indicate 1.0 unit of credit).
