CPR Requirement
Allied Health Programs: Dental Assisting
Students are required to hold a current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) card. CPR must be good for two years for the Dental Assisting Program. CPR must be current at the time of graduation as it is required for students to sit for the boards. Students should obtain this before they enroll in Allied Health Courses. Recognized CPR instruction organizations include the American Heart Association and American Red Cross. An acceptable course includes CPR in Adult, Infant, Child and AED Training.

(We recommend prospective Nursing and Allied Health Students wait until May through July to take this course.)
