Bachelor's Degree Admissions

OWC Step-by-Step Admissions Guide

Step 1:  Complete Admission & Residency Forms

Complete the Application for Admission and the Residency forms if you are eligible to be admitted to a Bachelor’s degree program. There is no cost to apply for admission to OWC. Submit the completed forms in person to any OWC campus, or by mail or fax. Fax: 1-850-729-5323. Mail: OWC Admissions, 100 College Blvd., Niceville, Florida 32578-1295. Effective with the 2007 Fall Semester, any student who has previously attended Okaloosa-Walton College as a credit student, and who has NOT been in attendance within one year, must submit a Readmission and a Residency Classification form to update personal data, residency, verify educational goals, and to receive a registration appointment. If the student attended another institution in the interim period, an official transcript must be submitted from that college or university. A Readmission form and Residency Classification form can be downloaded from the website.

Step 2:  Apply for Admission to the Program

Complete the additional application materials required for the program in which you are interested. Each program has a separate supplemental form(s) and specific admission criteria: For the Bachelor of Applied Science in Project Management (BAS) or the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): Obtain an application packet and additional forms from the OWC Nursing office, the BAS office, or on-line at www.owc.edu/bachelor. For the A.A. to B.A. program for the Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Humanities through UWF: Contact the A.A. to B.A. office at (850) 729-4933 for UWF upper division application materials. Standard OWC admission forms are required for lower-division A.A. coursework in the A.A. to B.A. program.

Step 3:  Request Official Transcripts

Request appropriate official transcripts and have these sent to OWC. Depending on your educational background, appropriate transcripts may include: high school transcript, GED diploma, Home Educated Affidavit, official college and/or university transcripts from any previous college attended, and official score reports from CLEP, DANTES AP or IB. Official transcripts should be sent to: Admissions Office, Okaloosa-Walton College, 100 College Blvd., Niceville, Florida 32578-1295. For information call (850) 729-5373. To assist you, transcript request forms are available from OWC.
