Mission Statement
The mission of the Northwest Florida State College Radiography Program is to provide a quality affordable education in the field of radiography. Using theory and performance-based instruction, the program faculty seeks to provide an educational environment that strengthens critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills, as well as encouraging professional development and lifelong learning to enhance the healthcare available in the community.
Program Goals
Goal 1
Utilizing a selective admissions process that best ensures the admission of students that are qualified and academically prepared to succeed in the program, the radiography will provide a quality affordable education to students enrolled in the program.
Goal 2
Graduates of the program will demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and competencies required of an entry-level radiographer.
Goal 3
The program will facilitate the development of effective communication, critical thinking, and problem solving skills, applicable to the practice of radiography.
Goal 4
The program will facilitate the development of professional attitudes, behaviors, and ethics within its students so that graduates of the program will exhibit characteristics appropriate of healthcare practitioner.
Goal 5
While helping to meet the community’s need for radiographers, graduates of the program will participate in activities that promote professional development and life long learning.
