Associate of Arts Degree

For those who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree, the OWC Associate of Arts program provides the same courses as the freshman and sophomore years at a state university. The OWC Associate of Arts degree is fully transferable and it guarantees admission as a junior to one of Florida's ten public universities and equal access to limited enrollment programs. Additional special agreements with select universities help prepare students for admission to certain limited access programs such as engineering and architecture. See the Student Bill of Rights for complete information on transfer guarantees.

OWC A.A. graduates who transfer to Florida's university system for their junior and senior years consistently earn grade point averages that are the same or higher than those who began their education at a university. In fact, OWC grads earn among the highest grade point averages in the state. See the listing of more than 200 State University Baccalaureate programs and then contact an OWC advisor/counselor to determine an appropriate course of study.

Associate of Science and Applied Science Degrees

For those interested in career training, the OWC Associate of Science and Applied Science degree programs prepare students for direct entry into today's top demand career fields. National studies show that eight out of every ten jobs now require training beyond high school, but not necessarily a four-year degree.

The Associate of Science degree may be used for transfer credit to four-year institutions. See the college catalog for complete degree requirements.
