What are the Program Entry Requirements?
- Complete all OWC admissions and enrollment requirements
- Complete a Supplemental EPI Admission Application Form
- Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 in your baccalaureate degree program*
- Provide Verification of Bachelor’s Degree
- Request an official copy of your transcript from the college where your Baccalaureate degree was conferred. The transcript must be on paper, not electronic, because OWC must verify a cumulative GPA. If your college/university does not post GPA’s on transcripts, a letter on college/university letterhead stating cumulative GPA can be accepted.
* Students whose Baccalaureate GPA is below 2.5 may apply for an admissions waiver. See “Admissions Waiver” under Admissions on this site or contact Penny Cox, EPI Coordinator at 729-5322.
What are Other Program Requirements?
- Obtain an Official Statement of Status of Eligibility to teach in Florida.

- State of Florida requires official transcripts.
- Agree to complete, through a school district, a Level 2 screening that is submitted to the FDLE and FBI
- Begin taking the Florida Teacher Certification Exams (either general knowledge or subject area)
