Health care occupations rank among the fastest growing careers in Florida and the nation. Northwest Florida State College programs include Nursing - RN, Nursing -BSN, Dental Assisting, Paramedic, Radiography and Surgical Technology – all programs which lead to high-wage, high-demand jobs.
The Allied Health programs at the college provide challenging contemporary courses, rigorous clinical training and rewarding interaction with local health care clients within a variety of settings. All programs have a once-per-year admissions process that is selective and highly competitive. Prospective students are strongly encouraged to explore all health programs available at the college and to potentially apply for more than one program, if qualified and interested, to increase chances of selection.
Aside from academic ability, prospective students must also possess the desire to help and work with the sick and injured; to be healthy, empathetic, flexible, accountable and willing to become a life-long learner. Each program prepares graduates for entry level positions in the field. You must continue your education in order to maintain essential practice competencies and keep abreast of your ever-changing career. Each program will indeed prepare you for a career, not just a job.
